Pheasant Hunting season opens in Wisconsin

Pheasant Hunting season opens in Wisconsin

Fans of shooting went out into the fields on Saturday, which was the first day of Wisconsin’s 2024 pheasant hunting season.

Upland shooting gear and clothing were added to the Northwest Outlet in Superior before the 2024 season, and sales have been good since then.

“Now that we have upland gear this year, I’ve seen a lot more people grab a coat or jacket when they see it. They aren’t necessarily coming to look for it. “It’s nice to have things here that make people want to come here and think about going out and having fun,” said Scott Miller, manager at Northwest Outlet.

Miller hasn’t seen a lot of traditional pheasant shooters in the northland fields, but he has seen some from the area head down to southern Wisconsin and Minnesota during the season.

From October 19, 2024, to January 5, 2025, the Wisconsin Pheasant season is open. During the first weekend, each person can only have one rooster. On Monday, October 21st, that number goes up to two roosters per person.
